Scout by Comdial is perfect for the person who has a great need to communicate, who can't be tied to the desk, and who requires a multi-line telephone with advanced functionality. Modeled after Comdial's popular Impact series of desk telephones, Scout is almost like carrying your desk set on your hip. The phone consists of a base unit and a wireless handset. The base station connects directly to any Comdial digital station port and is recognized immediately by the system, making installation snap. The handset is attractive, lightweight and durable. It has a 2 x 10 LCD panel, four programmable function keys, and four line-status lights. Also, the built-in vibrator prevents disruption of meetings and alerts you to calls in noisy environments. The Scout's 900MHz spread-spectrum transmission technology means that communications with the handset are fully digital, secure and highly immune to noise and interference. Not only can you hear clearly, but you can be confident that your conversation remains private. The Scout manages its battery power intelligently by transmitting at different power levels depending on the user's range from the base station. This gives users the benefit of both extended coverage when needed and longer usage between charges.
